On behalf of the government, the National Property Board of Sweden (SFV) manages our common natural and cultural heritage. We manage a variety of state-owned properties – including government buildings, courts, castles and royal estates, theaters, museums, embassies, and one-seventh of the country's area consisting of forests and land. As employees, we are proud to work for an authority, operate based on the state’s value framework, and contribute to positive societal development.

Today, approximately 70 employees work in the IT and Digital Development Department. Together, we provide IT support to the entire authority. As an IT management leader, you will be part of the unit for IT projects and IT management, with several competent colleagues.

We are on a transformation journey where we are implementing several new IT supports, including in property management. Right now, we are establishing an orderly IT management, where you as a management leader will be an important cog at the interface between IT and the business.

There are great opportunities within the unit to contribute and develop the way we work. We are centrally located in Stockholm with some possibility for remote work. Welcome!

Your Role

As a management leader, you will establish, lead, and follow up on management objects and drive development so that the IT supports create the greatest possible benefit for the business in both the short and long term.

You will develop management plans, budgets, and work with the business to ensure that the goals of the management plan are achieved. In the event of changes, you will provide close support to the business in both requirements specification and solution development.

In this role, you will lead smaller management projects and play a key role in coordinating IT management providers and IT specialists. You will also work closely with system owners, business specialists, external IT providers, and other colleagues in the department. As a management leader, you will receive and approve deliveries from projects into management and follow up on contracts and agreements.

Common to all roles in our unit is that we work both in a governing and supportive capacity.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with relevant post-secondary education or equivalent knowledge from the workforce, as well as:

  • several years of current experience in IT management at both operational and tactical levels
  • several years of current experience leading work within IT management
  • experience with one or more management governance models
  • experience with process-oriented working methods
  • good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

It is advantageous if you have:

  • worked with IT management within property management,
  • practical experience in establishing IT management,
  • experience in IT management in environments where IT security is crucial, and
  • experience in a similar role within the public sector.

Personal Qualities

We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. You are curious and quickly understand the needs of the business and have the ability to interpret technical solutions broadly to lead and plan change work in IT management.

You are accustomed to writing and communicating instructions and documentation to recipients with varying experience and competence in different parts of the organization. As we are facing a transformation journey, we see that you can handle broad contact areas, bring new ideas, and share your knowledge.

How to Apply

To apply for the position, we ask you to attach your CV and answer a number of selection questions based on the requirement profile. In the first selection, we will only consider your CV and your answers to the questions. We wish for you to respond concretely and succinctly, and that there is a clear connection between your answers and your CV.
